I met Billie Lee at an event in Los Angeles, and after swapping numbers, we grabbed lunch. When she found out she’d be on Vanderpump Rules, she asked me to come on as her stylist. What started off casual quickly turned into a full-on styling partnership — covering everything from TV and red carpets to editorials and campaigns.
Working with someone who was constantly in the public eye meant every outfit had a job to do. Whether it was for a filmed scene, a press moment, or an everyday look, each piece had to feel intentional. A lot of her on-camera moments took place in a restaurant setting, so the styling had to feel like it could pass as a uniform — but still be sexy, polished, and elevated. I styled her from day to night, knowing when to pull back, when to push, and when to let the styling speak louder than the setting.
One of my favorite styling moments was when I put her in a white sequin Lulus dress that hugged her body to absolute perfection. It was sleek, sculpted, and unapologetically glamorous — the kind of dress that didn’t just photograph well, it stopped people mid-conversation. This dress was for a photoshoot promoting her “Brunch with Billie” event, where she needed to feel confident and commanding. The moment she stepped out, the energy shifted. It was bold without being loud, sexy without being obvious. That balance — between fit, fabric, and presence — is something I’m always chasing. When a look highlights the person wearing it instead of overpowering them, that’s when you know it’s right. The dress didn’t wear her. She completely owned it.
Off camera, my approach was all about versatility and authenticity. Whether she was stepping onto a red carpet or keeping it casual on the street, I selected pieces that complemented her body and reflected her evolving style. Statement accessories and thoughtful color palettes helped build a wardrobe that could effortlessly transition from polished glam to everyday cool without missing a beat.
What I take pride in most is the range I brought to the table. I didn’t just dress her for the spotlight — I dressed her for the in-between moments too. From body-hugging gowns to lived-in denim, from editorial drama to effortless press-day polish, the goal was always the same: to make her feel like the best version of herself, wherever she was going.
Styling Billie was more than just putting together outfits — it was about understanding her personality, the moments she was stepping into, and creating looks that felt authentic and empowering. No matter the challenges behind the scenes, I always approached our work with professionalism and a positive attitude. Every project, whether a high-profile event or a casual day out, was an opportunity to tell her story through fashion. It’s a reminder that great styling isn’t just what you wear — it’s how you wear it and the confidence you bring along the way.
